Studs Terkel Book SigningThere was a book signing last Tuesday by Studs for his latest book (which is a great read by the way). The good folks at my local independent bookstore were good enough to call me and let me know about it. They went one step further (actually two steps) in that they mailed me my spot in line numbers. It pays to be a member at a local independent.Studs was in good form. At 93 he still has a lot of spark and spunk. It is hard to believe that he had a heart valve replaced eight weeks ago! He’s now talking about doing another book – A memoir.I had him sign my two copies of the latest book as well as a copy of “The Great Divide” which I picked up in the last year.
