Here’s a good list of proper etiquette for e-mail:

Sometimes the paper in the folders can obscure the label on the file folder. Place a second label at the bottom of the folder (near the fold). If the file is out on your desk you should have a clear idea of what’s in it.
So I have lived with my new headphones for a while and I’m generally pleased with how they work. They do cut out just enough of the background noise to be helpful during those times when I need to do something during the middle of the day that takes some time and requires a lot of concentration.
Picked up an Atomic Clock for my desk at work. For some reason it’s not enough having my computer clock synced to Internet time servers. After fighting the black Friday crowds today I ended up finding something I liked at Radio Shack.
“Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act
rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those
because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do.
Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.”

Merlin’s done a great job with the Productive Talk series and even if you own the book, have the CD’s, and have seen the movie (now there’s one Merlin hasn’t thought of) you should still listen to this series. As always going over GTD with some different examples might be just what the Doctor ordered.
As I have mentioned recently I have started to carry a pocket Moleskine Cahier everywhere. It’s been great on walking tours for a project I’m working on as well as general capture when I’m talking with someone in their office.
I like to make the note and then cross it off when I put it into my Actions list. Upon review I may find that the note wasn’t such a good idea and I toss it. Most of the time the items represents something that needs to get on a list though.
I made the plunge. After trying out the Steelcase Criterion and the Herman Miller Equa I choose the more familiar Herman Miller Equa. At home, my wife has the Equa and I have a Herman Miller Ergon. The Ergon is a very comfortable chair as well. The Steelcase has more adjustments than just about any other chair I tried but the Herman Miller Equa felt better against the lumbar area of my back.
I think any quality chair from Steelcase or Herman Miller would be a great improvement over the chairs that you find at Staples or Office Max. I’ve purchased all of my Herman Miller chairs used so they were pretty reasonable.
